Six Flags Over Georgia Rides
The current park features around forty rides, amongst which are currently ten roller coasters. The Dahlonega Mine Train is the oldest on the site and dates back to the original opening in 1967. The remaining coasters in chronological order are the Great American Scream Machine (1973), Mind Bender (1978), the Georgia Cyclone (1990), Ninja, Batman: The Ride (1992), Georgia Scorcher (1999), Superman: Ultimate Flight (2002), Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster (2004) and Goliath (2006). Goliath is notable for being the first hypercoaster in the southern US.
Not al visitors want to ride coasters so there are a wealth of other attractions for those seeking less thrills. Acrophobia, which opened in 2001, was the worlds first floorless freefall tower ride whilst the historic Riverview Carousel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Six Flags Railroad, an original ride dating from 1967, is a great way to see park.
